"Retirement is something I've never thought about. Chances are I'll be doing this until I die."

RWB, or RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF, means Rough World Concept. The average person might think it the height of insanity to pay someone specifically to cut into their vintage Porsche. But to those who know Nakai-san, and share his vision, these classic Porsches are automotive canvases. Tokyo. Los Angeles. Bangkok. Vancouver. This is how Nakai-san travels, modifying air cooled Porsches all around the world. Nakai-san has designed and manufactured wide body, aggressively stanced kits for older Porsches for over a decade now. When we were commissioned to shoot this project, we didn't know what to expect as it was our first time working with someone who primarily speaks Japanese. Watching Nakai-san work was both inspirational and intimidating. For one week, he spent every waking hour bent over his sheet metal and FRP canvas, cutting, painting, and sanding until it matched the vision he carried in his head.
